Job summary

Sports & Businesscampus De Vechtsebanen is seeking an energetic Operational Team Leader Hospitality to run day-to-day operations across our conference centre, the café and hospitality points within the ice rink complex.

You will lead colleagues on the floor, open and close locations, and ensure smooth event execution while nurturing a hospitable, energetic atmosphere. Dutch language skills, 30+ hours weekly, and availability for evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hospitality experience in a managerial role.
• Experience with inventory management and purchasing.
• In possession of the "social hygiene" diploma
• Hospitable, presentable, and stress-resistant.
• Proactive and flexible in deployment.
• Available for at least 30 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Good command of the Dutch language.
• Living in the Utrecht region.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and ensuring a hospitable reception.
• Ensuring that reservations and events run smoothly as agreed.
• Managing colleagues and ensuring a clear division of tasks.
• Managing the staff at the various hospitality locations within the complex and pitching in yourself where necessary.
• Opening and closing of the hospitality locations.
• Maintain an overview during shifts and switch gears quickly where necessary.
• Manage inventory and process orders.
• Ensuring a neat and clean work environment.
• Contribute to a positive, energetic work atmosphere.

We are looking for an energetic and hands-on operational team leader in hospitality who, together with the team, provides our guests with a fantastic experience!

As Operational Team Leader Hospitality, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations within De Vechtsebanen's hospitality locations, including the conference centre, the café, and the hospitality points at the ice rink complex. You manage colleagues, maintain an overview during busy periods, and actively work on the floor yourself. Hospitality is central: you are the point of contact for both guests and colleagues and ensure a positive atmosphere within the team.

Sports & Businesscampus De Vechtsebanen is the only artificial ice rink complex in the province of Utrecht. In addition to skating, various activities take place throughout the year, such as business meetings, drinks receptions, clinics, and events. With three permanent catering locations and ten meeting rooms, no day is the same.
