Job summary

Faststream Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head Waiter for a leading luxury ocean cruise operator. You will support the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional onboard service and guest satisfaction, leading a multicultural team and managing reservations.

Requires STCW certification and shipboard experience, plus strong leadership and communication skills. The position offers a salary of $3,500 per month onboard with a 6 months onboard / 2 months off rotation, and offshore work

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as Head Waiter or Assistant Maître d' in premium hospitality.
• Previous shipboard experience is required.
• STCW certification and seafarer documentation are mandatory.
• Ability to provide last 2 end-of-contract appraisals.
• Strong leadership and communication to manage multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in delivering onboard service and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations and guest reservations.
• Lead a multicultural team and ensure high standards of hygiene and safety.
• Assist in inventory and stock control while maintaining financials.
