Job summary

Flex is seeking a Head of Project Management through MCi, a Flex company, to lead and develop a PM team driving advanced automotive actuation solutions. You will ensure on-time delivery within budget and quality, while advancing governance and lifecycle improvements across the project portfolio.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in mechatronics or embedded systems, strong leadership and stakeholder skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience leading projects and/or programs in mechatronics or embedded systems.
• Experience as a direct (solid-line) people manager of Project Managers or equivalent pros.
• Strong understanding of product development and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in a regulated industry; Automotive experience is highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience establishing and improving PM processes, governance, KPIs, reporting, and portfolio management.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities for high-performing teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Management Consultants.
• Resolve risks, issues, resource constraints, and delivery challenges.
• Allocate Project Managers across projects and ensure resource planning.
• Monitor portfolio timelines, quality, budgets, risks, and resource utilization.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of project lifecycle framework and governance.
• Maintain and improve PM processes, templates, and best practices.
• Establish governance, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
• Support portfolio prioritization and resource allocation in line with business objectives.
