Job summary

Mimica is seeking a Head of Platform to lead a growing, globally distributed engineering team focused on scalable AI infrastructure. You will own the infrastructure strategy, including multi-region deployments, SRE practices, and cost management, partnering with product, security, and ML teams.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on coding and architecture review, with scope to grow to a manager of managers as Mimica scales across regions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineers, including managers, and growing a team through hiring.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience across regions (GKE/EKS/OnPrem).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code as a core platform tool (Terraform).
• Experience designing enterprise deployment models and security reviews.
• Strong budgeting and cloud cost attribution experience.
• Excellent communication to translate infra complexity for executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure strategy and platform roadmap across products.
• Lead and grow the Platform team, plan headcount, set goals and metrics.
• Own all AI infrastructure, including training and serving infra and MLOps tooling.
• Maintain DevEx culture while ensuring compliance and paved deployment roads.
• Manage infra budget, forecast costs, and cloud-provider relationships.
• Ensure reliability with SLOs, incidents, postmortems, and DR testing.
• Own CI/CD and developer platform with Terraform, ArgoCD and observability standards.
• Collaborate with Platform PM to turn client needs into roadmaps.
• Represent infra in security reviews and enterprise deals.
• Set standards for reliability, on-call, and craft across org.
