Mistral is building a sovereign AI cloud and is seeking a senior leader to drive its Kubernetes product end to end. You will own architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and stay close to code while guiding a talented team.

You will shape the control plane, decide how GPUs are scheduled, and scale from today’s footprint toward a gigawatt of compute across Europe. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic leadership, partnering with product, design, and business teams.

Qualifications

• Led engineers and shipped production systems with real impact.
• Shipped systems in Go with Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Experience building backend or infrastructure systems at scale.

Responsabilités

• Design and ship the Kubernetes control plane and architecture decisions.
• Grow engineers, remove obstacles, and coach them to higher impact.
• Own reliability of the Kubernetes control plane and respond to incidents.
• Bridge metal-to-on-demand provisioning with automation and scale.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align priorities and tradeoffs.
• Manage team hiring, performance, growth, and feedback.
