Job summary

Sotalent is seeking a Head of Legal Ops & Legal Transformation to elevate the global in-house legal function. You will drive tech, automation and AI strategy while improving processes, data visibility and service delivery.

In this hands-on leadership role you will manage a team of legal engineers and work with lawyers, operations and technology stakeholders to translate legal needs into scalable solutions and measurable performance insights.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience designing and deploying legal technology, AI and automation solutions within an in-house legal environment.
• Ability to translate legal requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Experience leading teams that include engineers, legal engineers or other technical builders.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with senior-level influence.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the Legal function’s technology, automation and AI strategy.
• Design and deliver technology-enabled solutions that improve legal processes, data and service delivery.
• Lead and develop a team including legal engineers and technical specialists.
• Set direction for the development, deployment and maintenance of legal tools, AI agents and automations.
• Design, build and deploy scalable legal solutions, including workflows, intake and triage processes, automation and knowledge-management systems.
• Develop legal data, risk intelligence, dashboards, reporting and performance metrics.
• Provide visibility of legal activity, risk and operational performance to GC and executives.
• Evaluate, select and govern legal technology and AI solutions, ensuring they are safe and valuable.
• Drive adoption of new technologies and processes across Legal through training and change management.
• Bridge legal and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Establish processes and operating models that improve consistency and efficiency across Legal.
