Job summary

Unity Partners is seeking a Technical Project Manager for hardware product development in Amsterdam. You will work closely with the Product Manager and Systems Engineer to drive scope, planning, and a technical roadmap across the full product lifecycle.

The role demands hands-on hardware experience, strong planning skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a regulated environment. A Master’s/PhD and an engineering background are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware product development experience across concept to release.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle from concept through certification.
• Excellent planning and coordination, driving accountability across teams.
• Exceptional cross-functional collaboration with product, systems, and engineering.
• Mechanical engineering or physics background enhances technical understanding.
• Master's or PhD level education.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own execution planning across the full product lifecycle: concept, design, industrialization, manufacturing, testing, and certification.
• Create work packages, coordinate tasks, and assign responsibilities across engineering stakeholders.
• Operate at a systems/overview level, understanding the technical challenges without needing to solve them yourself.
• Work directly and closely with the Product Manager and Systems Engineer on scope, planning, and technical roadmap.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap for an upcoming major product development effort, adapting an existing product to meet more demanding requirements.
