Job summary

Aquablu in Amsterdam is seeking a technically fluent Product Manager (Embedded Hardware) to own the roadmap for firmware and hardware, coordinating with hardware, firmware, and quality teams.

You’ll drive field feedback, translate service and quality signals into actionable tickets, and ensure the product stays healthy from design through production. This role rewards hands-on execution and cross-functional leadership in a growing hardware company.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechatronics, product design, electrical, or mechanical engineering — or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years in a hardware development or product management role, ideally with physical consumer or B2B devices.
• Fluency reading/writing firmware specs, hardware schematics, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience across full product lifecycle from design to production and field deployment.

Responsibilities

• Own feature and release roadmap for firmware and hardware, balancing stability with commercial priorities.
• Drive root cause analysis to shipped fixes in collaboration with firmware and mechanical engineering.
• Translate customer service, quality, and field inputs into prioritized tickets.
• Define and track product KPIs: uptime, dispense accuracy, and error rates.
• Own firmware certification and EU directive compliance for connected hardware.
