Job summary

Weheat, a Dutch startup, builds heat pumps and digital products to reduce CO2 in homes. We develop hardware and software together, from first design to production at scale in Brainport Eindhoven, with Utrecht driving commercial growth.

As a backend developer you will design robust APIs and data models, collect and process field data, and improve performance and reliability of our heat pumps. You’ll work with embedded, control and product engineers in Duizel and help shape the backend

Qualifications

• Experience with backend development, preferably with C#/.NET, or you are confident you can pick it up quickly.
• Solid understanding of scalable backend architectures, APIs and data flows.
• Experience working with databases. Our stack includes SQL, MongoDB and TimescaleDB.
• You care about writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• You communicate well in English or Dutch.
• You enjoy working in a dynamic environment that's always on the move and growing every day.
• Familiarity with cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• You build and maintain backend services that collect, process and expose data from our heat pumps.
• You design robust APIs and data models for monitoring, optimisation and product development.
• You analyse field data to improve the performance and reliability of our heat pumps.
• You work with embedded, control and product engineers, close to the hardware in Duizel.
• You help shape the backend architecture and make deliberate technical choices for a platform that grows with Weheat.
