Job summary

Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandtpark is seeking a Groups & Events Manager to lead the Events department and drive commercial growth. You will oversee end-to-end event execution, coach your team, and build long-term relationships with clients and partners to boost revenue and visibility.

You will work closely with the Regional Sales team to position Floor17 and our rooftop venue as Amsterdam West's premier event destination, transforming leads into lasting business opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in hospitality.
• Solid experience in Event Management and a real passion.
• Strong commercial and sales skills with ability to translate ideas into events.
• Dutch and English proficiency, spoken and written.
• Independent, proactive and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Are you a commercially driven events professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for sales, hospitality and leadership?

We are looking for an inspiring Groups & Events Manager to lead and further develop our Events department. In this role, you will not only oversee the successful execution of groups and events, but also play a key role in driving commercial growth, strengthening our market position and contributing to the strategic ambitions of the hotel as part of the Management Team.

Together with our Regional Sales team, you will be responsible for positioning Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandtpark and Floor17 as the social event destination of Amsterdam West. From corporate meetings and dinners to rooftop parties, exclusive social and seasonal gatherings and large-scale celebrations, you will continuously identify new opportunities, create innovative concepts and build long-term relationships that drive revenue and visibility.

As a natural leader, you inspire, coach and empower your team while further professionalizing processes, standards and ways of working within the department and our organization. You lead by example, bring structure where needed and create an environment in which commercial success and exceptional guest experiences go hand in hand.

WHO ARE WE?

Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandtpark has become a well-known name in Amsterdam West. With eighteen floors, the hotel offers spectacular views across the entire city. On the 17th floor, you will find Floor17, where guests can enjoy great cocktails and dishes at a height of 85 metres.

Our rooftop terrace is the place for special events, such as movie nights, ice skating experiences and relaxing yoga sessions. It is also the perfect location for meetings with a breathtaking view. As we continue to grow our events business, we are looking for someone who is eager to put Floor17 on the map even further by proactively generating new event opportunities and partnerships.

WHO ARE YOU?

• +3 years of leadership experience in hospitality
• You have solid experience in Event Management and a real passion for it.
• You have strong commercial and sales skills and know how to translate creative, out-of-the-box ideas into successful events.
• You take ownership, think ahead and act as a sparring partner for both your team and clients.
• You handle information with care and are confident in making well-considered, strategic decisions.
• You have a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• You are independent, proactive and thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding and anticipating your clients' needs? That is your strength.
• You know how to find the right balance between guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.
• Experience with Opera Sales & Catering is a plus!
