Job summary

Mint Selection | B Corp in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Grid Engineer for an initial 6-month contract to support a pipeline of grid-connected renewables and storage projects.

You will lead grid connection strategy with TenneT and DSOs, review power system studies, ensure Netcode/RfG compliance, and help move projects from due diligence to construction; Dutch language is advantageous, with English essential.

Qualifications

• Strong background in grid connections and power systems engineering.
• Experience with Dutch grid connection processes (TenneT or DSOs).
• Knowledge of Netcode elektriciteit and RfG requirements.
• Experience with solar, wind, storage or other grid-connected assets.
• English proficiency is essential; Dutch language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead grid connection strategy and applications with TenneT and DSOs.
• Manage technical requirements within connection and transport agreements.
• Review power system studies: load flow, short circuit, dynamic assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Netcode elektriciteit and RfG through design/testing.
• Liaise with network operators, OEMs, and consultants on design and compliance.
• Identify grid risks and capacity constraints and propose solutions.
• Support due diligence and transition of projects into construction.

Job description

We are supporting a European IPP with an urgent requirement for an experienced Grid Engineer to join on an initial 6-month contract.

The role will sit within the developer's engineering team, supporting a pipeline of grid-connected renewable and storage projects in the Netherlands. With grid congestion shaping what gets built, the focus is on securing viable connections and ensuring projects meet Dutch network requirements.

Contract: 6 months

Location: Netherlands (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead grid connection strategy and applications with TenneT and regional DSOs across the project pipeline.
• Manage technical requirements within connection and transport agreements, including non-firm and time-based capacity arrangements.
• Undertake and review power system studies, including load flow, short circuit and dynamic assessments.
• Ensure compliance with the Netcode elektriciteit and RfG requirements through design, testing and energisation.
• Liaise with network operators, OEMs and technical consultants on connection design and compliance.
• Identify grid risks and capacity constraints early and support practical technical solutions.
• Support due diligence and the transition of projects into construction.

Key Experience

• Strong background in grid connections, power systems engineering or network compliance.
• Experience of Dutch grid connection processes with TenneT or DSOs such as Liander, Stedin or Enexis.
• Knowledge of the Netcode elektriciteit, RfG and grid congestion management mechanisms.
• Experience with solar, wind, battery storage or other grid-connected assets.
• Dutch language skills are an advantage, with professional English essential.
