Job summary

QCS Staffing is seeking a Transmission & Distribution Technical Lead for an Amsterdam-based role on a permanent contract. You will lead the design and delivery of Grid modernization and HV projects (>110kV) in the Netherlands, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders, including AECOM global teams.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Power Systems and substantial experience with Dutch TSO/DSO requirements, renewables, and large infrastructure design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Systems engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in Transmission & Distribution/ renewables/ large infrastructure design, including multi-disciplinary scope.
• Extensive HV (>110kV) substation and/or powerline project design/delivery experience in the Netherlands.
• Familiarity with Dutch TSO/DSO requirements and the Dutch electricity market.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, engineering, and delivery of Grid modernization, high voltage substation, renewables, Battery Storage and powerline projects (>110kV) from concept through commissioning support.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and external stakeholders, including AECOM global teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Act as Technical lead for multi-disciplinary design projects, overseeing various disciplines, including substation primary, cables, protection & control, civils, overhead lines, and environmental scopes.
• Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation in line with project and regulatory requirements.

One of our Heavy Lift clients is looking for a Transmission & Distribution Technical Lead to join their team and support their project in the European market. With this in mind, we are interested in speaking to anyone who has experience for our role based in Amsterdam.

What You’ll Deliver

• Lead the design, engineering, and delivery of Grid modernization, high voltage substation, renewables, Battery Storage and powerline projects (>110kV) from concept through commissioning support.

• Experience working with Dutch TSO/DSO requirements and the Dutch electricity market.
