Assignment type: Graduation
Start date: February 2026
Assignment duration: 6 months
Location: Veghel
Education level: Bachelor
Desired study: Educational sciences, Human resource management, applied psychology and learning & development
Language: Dutch / English
At Vanderlande, our service desk teams support automated logistics systems at airports, warehouses, and distribution centers worldwide. When issues arise, our engineers are the first point of contact for the customer and must act quickly. However, understanding technical problems is only part of the challenge engineers also need to grasp the operational impact on the customer, such as what system downtime means for a busy airport or distribution center. Transferring this crucial contextual knowledge is currently difficult within a 24/7 shift environment.
In this assignment, you will design a modern learning concept that helps service desk engineers understand customer context, speak the customer's language, and translate this into system impact for better decision-making during urgent situations. You will combine learning science insights with real-world practice cases to create a practical, scalable learning solution for our global service desk organization.
You will join the Vanderlande service desk team, an international group of around 135 colleagues based in the Netherlands, Spain, and the US.
Operating 24/7, our teams support over 600 customers worldwide by resolving incidents, optimizing system performance, and keeping essential operations running smoothly.
