Job summary

ING Nederland is seeking an experienced Communications Expert to shape and deliver strategic communications across ING's Technology organisation. You will translate complex tech topics into clear messages for global audiences and support leaders with messaging, speeches and plans.

This cross-border role requires strong judgement, cultural awareness and the ability to work in a fast-moving international environment, collaborating with senior stakeholders across functions.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• 7+ years in a comparable communications role within international environments.
• Ability to connect communications to business priorities and leadership agendas.
• Proven experience translating complex tech topics for non-specialists.

Responsibilities

• Strategic communications planning aligned with CTO agenda and technology priorities.
• Prepare speeches, presentations, briefing materials for senior audiences.
• Translate IT topics into clear, engaging messages for global audiences.
• Engage technology audiences including engineers, leaders and global teams.
• Create content across channels: presentations, intranet stories, newsletters, events.
• Manage senior stakeholders across Technology, Communications and global functions.
• Collaborate across countries and time zones to reflect ING's global context.
• Use insights to improve communications impact and messaging effectiveness.
• Pursue development opportunities through department trainings.
