Job summary

Enza Zaden is seeking a Manager Crop Production to lead global seed production for Mid Tech Leafy and Open Field crops, driving performance in quality, quantity, cost and timing. You will manage a team, align with cross-functional partners, and steer strategic crop plans across the production chain.

You will build on a strong business mindset, lead projects to improve processes and seed technology, and ensure phytosanitary compliance while collaborating with external producers and partners.

Qualifications

• University level degree in plant science, supply chain or related business field preferred.
• 9–12 years of experience in seed production or seed supply chain.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to develop teams.
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP and planning systems.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Production Specialists and Production Planners.
• Be accountable for global seed production performance with quality, quantity, cost and timing targets.
• Lead S&OP processes and capacity planning with cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, Portfolio Management, Marketing and Sales for varietal development and producibility.
• Develop business cases and lead cost-optimisation projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and alignment with external producers.
