Job summary

KROHNE is seeking an Head of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management to lead and develop purchasing, logistics, and supply chain activities (59 FTE) at our Dordrecht flowmeter production facility. This leadership role defines and realizes the next steps to ensure seamless, cost-effective, and timely availability of resources for high-quality manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of procurement/supply chain experience with leadership background.
• Experience in manufacturing in high-mix, low-volume environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies for product lines and local business requirements.
• Lead and develop the purchasing and logistics team.
• Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
• Establish and maintain long-term supplier partnerships for critical components.
• Mitigate supply risks through dual sourcing, inventory strategies, and vendor scorecards.
• Oversee demand forecasting, inventory control, and material planning to ensure on-time production.
• Implement lean and JIT practices to optimize working capital and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, development and quality teams on material needs and lead times.
• Analyze and improve business processes.
• Ensure timely inbound/outbound logistics operations and customs compliance.
