Job summary

JDE Peet’s Amsterdam is seeking a Procurement Director for Global Emerging Markets. You will lead a €1bn spend across Raw Materials, Packaging, EM, Logistics, and more, supervising 40–50 managers and buyers.

Report to the Chief Procurement Officer, setting strategic direction and driving cost, cash, and supply performance. You will define sourcing strategies, build supplier relationships, and advance risk mitigation while aligning with the global operating model.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of procurement leadership in a global environment.
• Proven ability to build and develop large procurement teams.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with senior stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and coach regional procurement managers and buyers.
• Define and execute sourcing strategies across Direct and Indirect categories.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to mitigate risk.
• Identify total cost of ownership savings and productivity pipelines.
• Serve as senior escalation point for suppliers and factories in GEM.
• Drive compliance and alignment with global procurement standards.
