Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the Netherlands to install, commission and optimize Electrical Stunning, Controlled Atmosphere Stunning, Immersion Scalding and AeroScalding systems. You will ensure compliance with animal welfare standards while maximizing yield, quality and uptime.

You will lead on-site commissioning, adjust process parameters, perform root-cause analysis, train customers on machine setup and preventive maintenance, and provide structured reporting to

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with installation and commissioning of complex machinery.
• Understanding of process parameters (temperature, dwell time, voltage) is a plus.
• Experience working in hygienic and regulated production environments is a plus.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel internationally (~60%).

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and optimize Electrical Stunning and CAM Systems.
• Lead on-site commissioning of complete primary processing sections.
• Optimize process parameters in collaboration with production management.
• Perform root-cause analysis on welfare deviations or quality issues.
• Provide structured reporting and technical feedback to engineering.
• Train customers on correct machine setup, welfare compliance and preventive maintenance.
• Advise customers on process improvements and upgrades.
