Job summary

HEINEKEN Global Procurement – Packaging is seeking a Global Category Manager Plastics who will lead the global procurement strategy for PET Resin, Preforms, PSLs and Closures, with about €190M annual spend across the HEINEKEN footprint.

You will own end-to-end category management—from market intelligence and demand shaping to sourcing strategy, complex negotiations and contracting—delivering sustainable total cost, value creation and supply resilience.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of progressive procurement or category management experience.
• Proven experience leading global or multi-regional sourcing programmes and complex supplier negotiations.
• Strong experience in contract implementation and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
• Advanced knowledge of strategic category management, sourcing governance, risk management and supplier relationship management.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Plastics category strategy, value creation and multi-year roadmap.
• Drive cross-regional sourcing programmes, tender strategies and supplier selection.
• Own supplier governance, risk management and performance reporting.
• Partner with Packaging Development, Innovation, Sustainability, Finance and regional teams.
• Build executive-level supplier relationships and manage strategic relationships.
• Embed sustainability, circularity and cost-advantaged solutions across the portfolio.
