Job summary

UpScrolled is hiring a people architect to build the end-to-end HR function for a small, globally distributed team. You’ll own onboarding, policies, and compliance across multiple countries as we expand from Amsterdam.

You’ll establish compensation frameworks, performance processes, and robust employee relations while navigating multi-jurisdictional requirements with pragmatism and care.

Qualifications

• Experienced people ops generalist, ideally as the first or sole HR person at a startup.
• Deep breadth across recruiting, compliance, employee relations, culture, and compensation.

Responsibilities

• Own the full employee lifecycle end-to-end for a globally distributed team.
• Manage all hiring with full-cycle recruiting and structured processes.
• Manage global EOR relationships and onboarding across multiple countries.
• Design and maintain the employee handbook, templates, contracts, and core policies.
• Build and own the compensation structure, pay bands, and salary zones.
• Design and run performance reviews, goal-setting frameworks, and promotions.
• Handle employee relations with rigor; conduct investigations and exits when needed.
• Ensure employment law compliance across jurisdictions with legal and EOR partners.
