Job summary

DSM-Firmenich AG in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, seeks a Lead Specialist, Logistics Operations to coordinate international shipments and export documentation within a global supply chain.

You will collaborate with warehouses, freight forwarders, and customer service to ensure on-time delivery and compliant operations. Fluency in Dutch and English is required; German is a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in logistics operations.
• Experience with international logistics, exports, customs processes, and transportation coordination.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from production sites to customers, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Manage export operations, including customs compliance and preparation of shipping documentation.
• Collaborate with warehouses, freight forwarders, carriers, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth logistics execution.
• Monitor shipments, resolve delivery issues, and communicate delays or exceptions to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement by supporting logistics process optimization, KPI tracking, and adherence to SOPs.
