Job summary

Blue Phoenix is seeking a Global IT Systems Engineer to maintain and optimize our IT systems across Europe. You will support users, manage hardware/software, and drive IT projects in a Microsoft-focused environment.

You will collaborate with teams in the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark, reporting to the Global IT Operations Manager. Travel within Europe is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or Computer Science.
• At least 3 years as IT Systems Engineer or similar.
• Proven knowledge of ticket management tools.
• Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Microsoft certifications preferred.
• Willingness to travel within Europe.
• Dutch and English proficiency; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for IT support.
• Act as an IT advisor for employees across locations.
• Register, analyze, and resolve IT incidents.
• Install, configure, and manage hardware, software and IT resources.
• Maintain IT documentation and manage IT assets.
• Manage vendor contracts and relationships with suppliers.
• Oversee local infrastructure and end-user devices.
• Support and implement IT projects with the global IT team.

Are you a driven IT professional who thrives in an international environment and enjoys hands-on work with IT infrastructure? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you! As a Global IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our global IT systems. You will play a key role in supporting users, managing hardware and software, and executing IT projects at multiple locations across Europe.

You will report to the Global IT Operations Manager and collaborate with colleagues in the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark within a globally operating IT organization. Our IT environment is Microsoft-oriented and based on modern technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for IT support.
• Act as an IT advisor for employees across various locations.
• Register, analyze, and resolve IT incidents.
• Install, configure, and manage hardware, software, and IT resources such as workstations, mobile devices, and printers.
• Maintain IT documentation and manage IT assets.
• Manage vendor contracts and maintain relationships with external suppliers.
• Oversee local infrastructure and end-user devices.
• Support and implement IT projects in collaboration with the global IT team.

Requirements

• A degree in IT or Computer Science.
• At least 3 years of experience as an IT Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proven knowledge of ticket management tools (must-have), Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).
• Microsoft certifications are preferred.
• Experience with MS Dynamics 365 is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured problem-solving approach.
• Willingness to work outside office hours in case of emergencies.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Europe.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English (spoken and written). German proficiency is a plus
