Blue Phoenix is looking for a hands‑on Global IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to manage and optimize our IT infrastructure and security across all countries we operate in. You’ll ensure our systems run smoothly, support global projects, and play a key role in shaping our IT and security strategy.
This role reports to the Global IT Infrastructure & Security Manager and involves collaboration with international teams.

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize global IT infrastructure and security solutions • Daily operations of troubleshooting of infrastructure and security‑related incidents
- Implement, maintain, and optimize VMware ESX hosts and Windows Servers • Manage networking solutions (HPE Aruba)
- Manage firewalling solutions (Palo Alto Networks)
- Microsoft 365 security, email security, and endpoint security
- Maintenance, patching, and updating of infrastructure and security systems
- Participate in infrastructure replacement and upgrade projects
- Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation
- Implement and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures
- Support international locations and participate in regular travel across Europe (3–5 days per month), with occasional travel to Australia and the USA.
- Contribute to future technology and product decisions
Qualifications
- 5+ years in IT infrastructure, networking, and data center operations.
- MBO/HBO IT education or equivalent experience.
- Hands‑on experience with VMware, HPE Aruba networking equipment, and Palo Alto Networks firewalls
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and security optimization practices
- Experience with endpoint and email security solutions
- Experience integrating IT environments across multiple countries
- Strong background in documentation and change management
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken.
