Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist/HR Advisor for our Haarlem office in the Netherlands. You will act as the main HR contact, manage the full employee lifecycle, and support recruitment, onboarding, and HR initiatives in a diverse, international environment.

The role requires Dutch employment law knowledge, strong payroll collaboration, and the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion. Fluent English is required; Dutch language is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least four years of broad HR experience, preferably in the Netherlands.
• Experience as an HR Generalist or HR Advisor.
• Strong knowledge of 360-degree HR and full lifecycle.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main HR contact for the local office.
• Manage full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee changes and offboarding.
• Support full-cycle recruitment, interviews, selection and onboarding.
• Advise employees and managers on HR policies, employment matters and day-to-day HR issues.
• Manage local HR processes and ensure compliance with Dutch employment legislation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
• Support performance management and employee relations.
• Prepare payroll inputs, including salary changes, travel expenses, overtime, leave and benefits.
• Work with payroll providers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Manage sickness absence and return-to-work processes in line with the Wet verbetering poortwachter.
• Liaise with occupational health providers and Arbo services.
• Administer benefits, leave and other employee-related arrangements.
• Support training, employee engagement initiatives and office events.
• Support Works Council processes and related legislation.
• Prepare HR reports and support HR projects and process improvements.
• Handle confidential employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Perform other HR-related duties as required.
