Job summary

Rainforest Alliance in the Netherlands is seeking a seasoned Head of Foundations to build and lead a global philanthropy program. You will shape strategy, win new foundation funders, and scale income and impact across climate, development, agriculture and sustainability.

You will lead a small international team and drive long-term partnerships with major funders. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Relations, you will manage six-figure and larger commitments, develop compelling cases, and

Qualifications

• 10+ years in fundraising, business development, or sustainability.
• Experience securing philanthropic foundation funding and multi-year commitments.
• Proven ability to move donors through cultivation pipelines and hit revenue targets.
• Experience leading people and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in business, international development, sustainability, or related field.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement foundation fundraising strategy across a global portfolio.
• Lead a small international team and manage foundation accounts.
• Meet and exceed annual revenue targets through new funding commitments.
• Prepare donor collateral and oversee cross-functional proposal teams.
• Represent Rainforest Alliance at donor events and roundtables.
