Job summary

1GLOBAL seeks a Deputy CISO to lead its security function in a fast‑growing telecom tech environment. You will head the Cyber Defense team, manage incidents, and ensure security governance across core network, signalling, and cloud platforms.

Based in the Netherlands, you will drive risk management, oversee security engineering, and collaborate with Engineering and IT to embed security in every product delivery. A strategic, hands‑on leader is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity
• 5+ years in operational leadership (SecOps / Cyber Defense)
• Experience in global telecom or distributed, high-availability infrastructure is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cyber Defense team with daily operational security across a distributed telecom environment.
• Act as Incident Commander for significant security incidents and improve incident response playbooks.
• Oversee design and lifecycle of security tech (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM, network and cloud security).
• Own telco security domains: core protection, signalling, 4G/5G security, OSS/BSS security.
• Manage security risk register, drive risk identification and remediation.
• Ensure security is embedded in design across Engineering, Cloud, IT, and Product.
