Job summary

Heerema is seeking a Corporate Information Security Officer to define and drive cybersecurity across the organization, supported by executive sponsorship and a dedicated budget. You will lead a capable team and own the 2026–2028 roadmap, reporting to the CEO/CFO and advising on risk, investments, and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in a senior cybersecurity leadership role.
• Master's degree in a related field preferred.
• Strong technical background with strategic leadership experience.
• Experience in strategy, governance, architecture, risk management, and operations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary cybersecurity teams and developing talent.
• Excellent stakeholder management and board-level communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve Heerema's cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operating model.
• Refine and execute the 2026–2028 cybersecurity roadmap into practical initiatives.
• Lead a high-performing cybersecurity team and strengthen capabilities across the organization.
• Drive cybersecurity maturity, architecture, risk management, and resilience across IT, cloud, and OT environments.
• Act as a visible ambassador for cybersecurity and foster a security culture.
• Advise Executive Management on risks, investments, and strategic priorities.
• Oversee compliance with ISO 27001/27002, NIST, GDPR, and NIS2.
• Represent Heerema to auditors, customers, partners, regulators.
• Ensure investments align with business priorities and risk appetite.
• Plan and deliver initiatives for 2027 and 2028.
