Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking an experienced Team Leader Customs Operations in Moerdijk to lead a team of customs professionals. You will ensure accurate declarations, bonded warehouse administration, and reporting while driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

This leadership role requires strong coaching and stakeholder management skills. The role emphasizes collaboration with the Customs Manager Netherlands on processes, projects, and strategic initiatives, and offers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and supervisory/senior customs experience
• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations
• Strong knowledge of customs legislation, international trade regulations, and VAT
• Experience with customs/compliance systems
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills
• Excellent organization and prioritization abilities
• Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of customs professionals
• Ensure accurate and timely execution of customs activities
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement
• Act as Key User for customs software and coordinate reporting
• Ensure compliance with customs laws, VAT and internal policies
• Support internal and external audits including AEO activities
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions
• Manage representation agreements and annual reviews
• Build relationships with customers, authorities, and agencies
• Collaborate with Customs Manager Netherlands on improvements and projects
