Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Category Manager for Performance Chemicals to join its Global Purchasing Organization. You will shape category strategy, lead cross‑functional teams, and drive cost reduction, resiliency and supplier collaboration across the chemicals portfolio.

Based in Western Europe with hybrid office and remote options, this role requires strong negotiation, market intelligence and strategic influence to optimize supply, leverage suppliers, and deliver enterprise value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5–7 years in Supply Chain or Operations.
• Minimum 3+ years as a Category Manager.
• Experience purchasing chemicals preferred.
• 3–5 years of negotiation in a global environment.
• At least 5 years across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Professional SCM certification preferred.
• Strong cost analysis, breakdowns, negotiations, benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Establish procurement strategies to improve Cost Out, resiliency, supply continuity and working capital.
• Lead strategic initiatives to drive cross‑business synergies and supplier leverage.
• Negotiate, manage and strengthen strategic supplier contracts.
• Ensure compliance with category strategies and SCM objectives.
• Lead category strategy development via forecasting, market drivers and risk analysis.
• Advise leaders on sourcing strategies using market intelligence.
• Present opportunities and cost‑reduction plans to senior leadership.
• Lead regional teams to meet supply chain goals.
• Identify innovative solutions through cross‑functional collaboration.
• Benchmark procurement processes and drive best practices across the organization.
• Align supplier diversity and strategic/financial plans with stakeholders.
