Job summary

The Manager, Global Accounting at Rainforest Alliance will lead daily finance activities with the Director and Controller, ensuring timely close, audits, and compliance across EU operations. You will oversee cash management, consolidations, and regulatory filings while guiding the global accounting team.

You will drive internal controls, partner with Finance, HR, and Markets, and mentor staff to meet global accounting standards in a flexible hybrid Netherlands workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience.
• Technical accounting expertise.
• Dutch and English language skills required.
• Demonstrated task and people management skills with management experience in accounting or finance environment required.
• Proficiency with accounting system software, Excel and report writing software.

Responsibilities

• Submit daily/monthly/quarterly/annual field transactions for relevant offices.
• Review subsidiary monthly transactions and reconcile bank and petty cash.
• Oversee recording of daily accounting transactions: Banking, payroll, AP, AR.
• Manage accruals, fixed assets, prepaids and advances.
• Handle cash management, credit cards, leases, and foreign currency topics.
• Consolidations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support period-end closes and audits, including benefit audits.
• Coordinate regulatory filings for EU operations and internal controls.
