Job summary

Rainforest Alliance is seeking a Manager, Global Accounting to join its Global Accounting team in the Netherlands. You will partner with the Director, Global Accounting and Controller to support annual audits, country- and project-level audits, and benefit audits, while ensuring accurate monthly foreign-transactions processing and field office reporting.

You will develop internal controls and accounting procedures compliant with local regulations and lead a team across Europe to ensure timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience.
• Technical accounting expertise.
• Dutch and English language skills required.
• Demonstrated task and people management skills with management experience in accounting or finance environment required.
• Proficiency with accounting system software, Excel and report writing software.

Responsibilities

• Submit daily/monthly/quarterly/annual activities of field transactions for relevant parent office.
• Perform detailed reviews of subsidiary monthly transactions and reconciling bank & petty cash.
• Provide oversight of recording daily accounting transactions: banking, payroll, AP/AR, accruals, fixed assets.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and period-end closes.
• Coordinate tax and regulatory filings (e.g., VAT, CIT) for the EU region.
• Support leadership in staff management and training.
