Terramira is seeking a software engineer to join a diverse team focused on geo-information and Earth Observation data. You will work on databases, APIs and vector geodata, delivering performant services via fast APIs and scalable cloud infrastructure.
You will contribute to data pipelines, APIs and platform integrations, collaborating with colleagues to deliver insights for clients while growing the company's geospatial capabilities. This is a hybrid role in Amersfoort.
Terramira is a new force in Earth Intelligence, born from the combined strengths of NEO, eLEAF and 52impact.
We turn satellite and sensor data into clear, actionable intelligence for the challenges that define our time: climate change, water scarcity, biodiversity loss and infrastructure under pressure. Our clients — from agribusinesses and water authorities to international organisations and governments — don’t need data for data’s sake. They need insights that drive decisions. That’s exactly what we deliver.
At Terramira, we believe impact starts with seeing clearly. We make impact visible. And we bring it within reach.
We are a growing organisation with short lines of communication, an open culture and a genuine drive to do work that matters. If you want to contribute to solutions that make a real difference for organisations, for people, for the planet. You’ll feel right at home here.
As part of a diverse team of developers, you will work on projects and services centred on geo-information and Earth observation data. Our unique datasets are made available through various APIs, and we also offer various other channels to make insights accessible to a wide range of customers.
All these solutions have some features in common:
In this position, you will work on a wide variety of projects across the organisation, focusing on databases, APIs and (vector) geodata. This is the ideal position for someone who enjoys solving complex issues, both independently and together with colleagues. You will actively contribute to the further growth of our company and have plenty of room to take initiative.
Do you want to help unlock new insights from large amounts of diverse Earth observation data? Join our team and leave your mark!
You will make contributions to our codebase, work on a wide range of projects and automate the production of data provided via our API. In addition, you will further manage, maintain and develop our API so that hundreds of thousands of requests can be processed as efficiently as possible. You will also ensure integration with our platform and other R&D initiatives, such as our geo-enabled agent.
Finally, you will share your specialist knowledge with the team and work together to deliver unique insights for our clients, based on our extensive collection of geodata.
We are looking for someone with the following knowledge and experience:
In addition, you are fluent in English. Proficiency in Dutch is an advantage. You communicate easily with colleagues and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
