Job summary
Utrecht University in the Netherlands seeks a Scientific Engineer for the GeoTrAnsQData project to design and implement workflows turning geodata into answer maps. You will work with PhD candidates and a postdoc on data, implementation, and infrastructure, with a focus on open science and data management.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree or expected by Sep 2026 in a relevant field (CS, GIScience, AI, etc.).
- Interest in geodata infrastructures, GeoAI, workflows, and agent-user interaction.
- Strong programming and software development skills.
- Good command of English; Dutch not required.
- Experience with data curation, knowledge graphs, data management, and open science is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to data curation, dataset preparation, and semantic annotation with PhD candidates.
- Develop data analysis scripts and design GIS workflows for transforming data into answers.
- Assist in deploying Q&A infrastructure and conducting user studies; ensure data anonymisation.
