Job summary

Sia, a forward‑deployed AI engineering practice, is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer in Amsterdam. You will design and deploy GenAI applications, build autonomous agents, RAG pipelines, and conversational interfaces, and ensure adoption in client workflows.

You will work at the intersection of Data Science, ML/Platform Engineering, and client delivery, deploying solutions across environments, and delivering measurable ROI while complying with GDPR and EU AI Act requirements.

Qualifications

• Grounding in computer science, AI, or related technical field; ability to build.
• 2+ years of professional experience; strong LLM project background encouraged.
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs in production, research, or substantial personal projects.
• Proficient Python and ability to adapt to client tech stacks.
• Able to integrate APIs and connect heterogeneous systems.
• Excellent communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French or German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sit with a client team to identify AI use cases worth shipping.
• Design and implement LLM‑based systems: autonomous agents, RAG, workflows.
• Integrate solutions into client environments (APIs, databases, tools).
• Drive adoption with training, evangelize, and iterate until value is realized.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine production solutions quickly.
• Be able to converse with engineers and with the board credibly.
