Job summary

European Space Agency (ESA) in the Netherlands seeks a Galileo System Security Engineer to coordinate end-to-end design of the Galileo PRS and security functions, ensuring traceability from mission and security requirements to system implementation.

You will lead system security activities, manage MRD SoC/SSRS SoC, support security accreditation and collaborate with ESA, the EC, Member States and contractors to advance secure Galileo capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in system engineering or related discipline with four years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree plus four years of relevant experience.
• Experience defining, developing and verifying security architectures for large, complex systems.
• Knowledge of security engineering principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, accountability, non-repudiation).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end system design of the Galileo PRS and security functions with full traceability from MRD/SSRS to implementation.
• Lead system security activities to define and evolve PRS/system security architectures.
• Oversee assessment/approval for deviations, waivers and engineering change proposals and ensure compliance.
• Manage MRD SoC/SSRS SoC and associated compliance matrices across builds.
• Lead a team of engineers and coordinate with external contractors and multiple directorates.
