We have multiple positions available for our 4‑month Deep Learning Research internship program.

As a Deep Learning Research Intern, you will develop, prototype, and implement new fundamental and impactful methods in one of our research areas. The internship program gives you a unique opportunity to advance the state of the art in artificial intelligence and publish at scientific conferences. You will join a team of talented and experienced researchers and engineers and become part of our collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.

Our Research Areas Include

• Model Efficiency: Advancing efficiency of generative models and architectures with innovations in, e.g., model quantization, compression, sparsity, conditional computation (e.g., mixture of experts), application to LLMs/LVMs/multi-modal models.
• Generative Vision: Research on efficient generative modeling of visual and multimodal data using diffusion, flow‑matching, autoregressive methods, Gaussian Splatting, VLMs, and MLLMs.
• Agentic AI & Reasoning: Research on agentic AI system and algorithms, long horizon planning, inference time compute, RL training of reasoning LLMs, generative reward models and LLM sampling techniques.
• Embodied AI: Research on manipulation (Vision‑Language‑Action models, diffusion), loco‑manipulation on humanoid robots, learning‑from‑human‑videos, and reinforcement learning applied to these topics.
• Robustness & Alignment: Research on robust & efficient methods to align models for safe, reliable, and resource‑constrained edge, emphasizing controllable generation, uncertainty quantification, guardrails and on‑device adaptation techniques.

Requirements

We welcome applications from motivated PhD candidates. Applicants must be enrolled in their PhD degree program for the duration of the internship. Ideal applicants are currently pursuing a PhD with focus on machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, or foundation models (LLMs/LVMs) and have proven research ability, e.g., having published at relevant academic conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV etc.).
