Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in the Netherlands invites a Bachelor or Master student to join the Local People Partners team as an HR internship focused on AI-driven people processes. You will explore how AI reshapes HR practices and support the team with analytics and recommendations.

You will collaborate with experienced HR professionals across the NL org, develop practical insights, and gain hands-on experience in change management and talent analytics in a multinational tech environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Investigate how AI adoption reshapes the role of Local People Partners within NXP.
• Conduct literature review and collect data to support research questions.
• Analyze findings and translate insights into practical HR recommendations.
• Collaborate with HR professionals to synthesize conclusions for the internship report.

WHO ARE WE?

You will be a part of a diverse and experienced team of 8 Local People Partners (formerly HR managers) supporting corporate headquarters, business lines, R&D organizations and a factory. Next to that we have about 37 NL-based HR professionals in recruitment, rewards, legal, HR systems, HR analytics, administration and payroll, plus another ~300 HR colleagues worldwide.

YOUR PROFILE

You are an enrolled Bachelor or Master student in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.

• You have a strong interest in the future of HR and the impact of AI on people-related processes.
• You are analytical, curious, and able to translate insights into practical recommendations.
• You are self-driven and take ownership of your work.
• You have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• You are fluent in English and Dutch.

Research Question

This research explores how the adoption of Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the role of Local People Partners. The study will examine the impact of AI on HR processes, required competencies, decision-making, and the future strategic positioning of local people partners within NXP.

Possible research question: How will the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) transform the role, responsibilities, competencies, and strategic contribution of Local People Partners within NXP?

The research may include topics such as the augmentation of HR activities, the changing skill set of HR professionals, the impact of AI on employee experience and talent management, and the ethical and governance considerations associated with AI-driven HR practices. The outcome of the study should provide practical insights and recommendations for the HR function preparing for an AI-enabled future.

DURATION

The duration of the internship will be a minimum of 4-6 months.
