Job summary

ING in Amsterdam is seeking a senior IT Risk/Operational Risk professional to shape the Non-Financial Risk function for tomorrow. You will balance technology risk with business impact, guiding priorities in a data-driven, AI-enabled environment.

Reporting to the CRO, you will lead IT Risk and Operational Risk topics, develop people, and collaborate with ING NFR and specialist communities to strengthen governance and risk management across the bank.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Risk, Technology Risk, Information Risk or Non-Financial Risk within banking or another highly regulated environment.
• Strong expertise in IT Risk and Technology Risk.
• Experience with Operational Risk, Operational Resilience and broader Non-Financial Risk topics.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Experience improving how teams, functions or organisations operate.
• Experience coaching and developing professionals.
• Strong understanding of how technology risks translate into business risks.

Responsibilities

• Shape and strengthen the function by setting priorities and translating technology developments into clear actions.
• Develop people and capabilities through coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Lead governance discussions, risk opinions and management reporting with CRO input.
• Coordinate across Operational Risk and IT Risk to ensure a consistent approach.
• Drive data‑driven risk management with improved dashboards and analytics.
