Job summary

ING is seeking an Audit Manager in Amsterdam to lead complex audits across Market Risk and Treasury, covering both trading and banking book risk. You will assess governance, controls, models and risk management processes, providing independent assurance within a global organisation.

You will work in a hybrid setup, collaborating with international teams, challenging stakeholders, and delivering high-quality audit outputs that shape risk management practices across ING’s global footprint.

Qualifications

• Academic degree, preferably supplemented by FRM, CFA, PRM, CIA or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in market risk management and/or internal audit in a major bank, financial institution, or consultancy.
• Solid knowledge of market risk processes, risk measurement, trading products and regulatory environment.
• Experience in trading risk, counterparty risk, valuation, ICAAP/ILAAP, funding & liquidity risk, capital management, IRRBB, CSRBB or ALM.
• Good understanding of internal audit processes including risk assessment, scoping, control evaluation, testing and reporting.
• Proven communication, influencing and advisory skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Performing and leading audits across Market Risk Management, Treasury and related financial risk topics.
• Assessing end-to-end risk management processes, governance, controls, models, methodologies and MI.
• Reviewing the design and operating effectiveness of controls over trading and banking book risk management.
• Identifying key risks, defining audit scope, developing audit testing and findings.
• Challenging management in a constructive and professional manner.
• Communicating audit outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
• Sharing specialist knowledge with audit colleagues and supporting team development.
• Contributing to audit planning, risk monitoring and CAS expertise development.
