Job summary

Crowne Plaza Amsterdam – South in the lively Zuidas district is seeking a Breakfast Waiter/Waitress to be the first smile of the day for our guests. You’ll create a welcoming and energizing start to their morning during breakfast hours, supporting setup and service with a friendly, efficient approach.

We are looking for team members to join on weekends and another with flexible hours throughout the week. The role emphasizes hospitality, English communication, and a positive, proactive attitude

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or F&B service is advantageous.
• Proficient English communication; Dutch is a plus.
• Morning person with energetic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and guide them through the breakfast experience.
• Take and serve orders for coffee, tea, and breakfast items.
• Keep buffet and service areas stocked, fresh, and well-presented.
• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
• Provide menu information and accommodate dietary needs.
• Handle payments and billing procedures where required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the restaurant and service stations.
• Support setup and breakdown of the breakfast service.
• Follow hygiene and safety procedures (HACCP, Fire Life Safety, Green Engage).
• Be attentive and proactive to start guests' day positively.

Your day to day:

As a Breakfast Waiter/Waitress, you are the first smile of the day for our guests. You’ll create a welcoming and energizing start to their morning by delivering attentive, friendly, and efficient service during breakfast hours. We are looking for a new team member to join us only on the weekends and one more team member to join us with flexible working hours throughout the week.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests warmly and guiding them through the breakfast experience

• Taking and serving orders for coffee, tea, and breakfast items

• Ensuring buffet and service areas are fully stocked, fresh, and well-presented

• Clearing and resetting tables quickly and efficiently

• Providing menu information and accommodating guest preferences or dietary needs

• Handling payments and billing procedures where required

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the restaurant and service stations

• Supporting setup and breakdown of the breakfast service

• Following hygiene and safety procedures (HACCP, Fire Life Safety, Green Engage)

• Being attentive and proactive to ensure every guest starts their day positively

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in hospitality or F&B service is an advantage

• A morning person with a positive and energetic attitude

• Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus

• A natural host — friendly, approachable, and service-oriented

• Well-groomed appearance and professional attitude

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Eye for detail and commitment to quality

• Availability to work early morning shifts on weekends and holidays
