Job summary

Bloom Search is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for packaging operations in the United States. The role covers 2nd and 3rd shift (Mon-Sat) with responsibilities to read electrical schematics, troubleshoot PLCs, and perform mechanical/electrical maintenance on packaging lines, motors, and related systems.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 4+ years in mechanical or electrical trades; vocational training is acceptable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years of experience in mechanical or electrical trades preferred.
• Vocational training may substitute for two years experience.
• Knowledge of motors, pumps, and safety practices required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.

Maintenance Mechanic-Packaging $30-40/hr DOE 2nd and 3rd shift available! M-Saturday

2nd Shift-3pm – 11:30pmM-Sat.

3rd Shift-11pm-7am M-Sat.

• Read and interpretelectrical schematics and diagrams.
• Understand PLC ladderlogic AND industrial electrical systems.
• Perform buildingand/or masonry repair.
• Install, service, andrepair electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators, and other relatedequipment using various hand and power tools.
• Move and replacemachinery and auxiliary apparatus using hand and electric trucks, forklifts,and dollies.
• Replace fuses, lightbulbs, circuit breakers, electric switches, and other electrical equipment.
• Perform related workas assigned.
• Maintain records andprepare reports related to the work regarding equipment, supplies, andmaterials.
• Prepare writtenreports on projects and equipment conditions.
• Ensure the proper use,care, and storage of tools and equipment.
• Maintain work area ina clean and sanitary manner.
• Must have the abilityto do routine mechanical and electrical maintenance and care for tools andequipment.
• Must have the abilityto work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
• Must have the abilityto maintain records regarding material, equipment, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot, repair,and replace electrical systems to the component level.
• Fabricate, assemble,and test machinery parts as needed.
• Must have theknowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the building andmaintenance trades.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to legally work in the United States is required.
• High SchoolDiploma/GED required.
• Four years ofexperience in the mechanical or electrical trades is preferred.
• Completion of arecognized program in vocational training for the mechanical or electric tradesmay be substituted for two years of experience.
• Must have knowledge ofthe accepted practices, processes, materials, and tools of the maintenancetrades.
• Must have knowledge ofelectric motors, generators, pumps, pressure systems, water systems, and otherequipment and systems.
• Must have knowledge ofthe servicing and maintenance of simple power, heating, and cooling units.
• Must have theknowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the building andmaintenance trades.
