Join the revolution of Accounting Automation
AI is all you read about these days. It promises us that every job will be replaced by it and with it over the coming years.
Sounds really cool, but also scary. There is a significant business category out there that is set to be replaced if they do not innovate in their respective field. That is where Aspyre plays a role: our goal is to make existing accountants 4x more productive, allowing them to grow far beyond their current customer base without growing their headcount.
We do this by connecting with existing software systems used by accountants and building automations for high-effort, low-revenue work. We combine auditable and deterministic code with AI to leverage the best of both worlds, and invite YOU to join us on our mission.
With our current product we have attracted early customers and proven early traction. We've moved fast to validate what accountants actually need. Now we're entering the next phase.
We want to turn that early stage product into a stable, fast and scalable product that accounting firms can rely on 24/7. That means improving architecture, performance, separating responsibilities, and continuing to ship new innovative functionality.
And that's where you come in.
As a Full Stack Developer, you'll work across the product: from React interfaces to Python backend logic, databases and integrations with external accounting systems.
One day you might optimize a slow data flow. The next, you're restructuring part of the backend or figuring out why an obscure SOAP API behaves differently from its documentation.
We care about quality, and strongly believe that it should be balanced with speed. You'll need to understand when something needs to be engineered properly and when getting something into users' hands matters more. As we are a startup we expect you to understand this delicate balance between quality and speed.
You don't need to know absolutely everything. We care more about whether you can reason about unfamiliar problems and learn quickly.
You should have:
You enjoy doing technically difficult things with people you can trust and laugh with.
You're ambitious about becoming better at what you do, but don't need to prove that you're the smartest person in the room. You ask questions, challenge assumptions and expect others to challenge yours.
Your ideas will be heard and your work matters. You will regularly see what you've built actually running in production and being used by customers.
Aspyre probably isn't the right environment if you're looking for rigid specifications to simply execute, or if you believe seniority means your opinion shouldn't be questioned.
