Job summary

Suitsupply is seeking a Tech Lead Shopify to own the technical vision for the new global headless storefront built on Shopify Hydrogen. You will define architecture, lead frontend engineers, and drive architectural decisions that scale across markets and languages.

You will balance delivery velocity with technical health, own integration strategies (Shopify APIs, Sanity CMS, and third-party systems), and define testing strategies with QA. Amsterdam HQ, international team, and growth paths await.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience building production web apps with React and TypeScript.
2+ years in a Tech Lead role.
Experience with headless commerce and Shopify Hydrogen is a plus.
Able to design scalable component architectures and data flows for multi-market use.
Strong focus on code quality, developer experience, and ownership.

Responsibilities

Define and own the storefront technical architecture across markets, languages, and devices.
Lead frontend engineers through architectural decisions, code reviews, pairing, and hands-on guidance.
Make technology choices and communicate trade-offs to team and stakeholders.
Balance delivery velocity with technical health and manage debt.
Own integration strategy across Shopify APIs, UI Extensions, Sanity CMS, and third-party systems.
Define testing strategy covering unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Set and raise standards for performance, accessibility, security, and reliability.
Drive the frontend chapter and establish shared practices across teams.
