Job summary

Multi.engineering is seeking a Mechanical Basic Engineer for Superyachts to join a freelance assignment in the Amsterdam region of the Netherlands. You will begin between week 43 and 46, with the contract lasting until year-end and a potential extension of 3–6 months.

Qualifications

• Medior-level experience in mechanical/marine engineering within shipbuilding or yacht building.
• Strong experience with concept and basic design.
• Relevant software knowledge of 3D AutoCAD and Cadmatic.

Responsibilities

• Define what technical systems and equipment the yacht will need, and where they should be located.
• Translate the yacht concept into a feasible overall arrangement for later detailed engineering.
• Create preliminary mechanical designs and estimates for the vessel.
• Prepare design and arrangement of technical spaces, engine rooms, HVAC, and onboard systems.
• Ensure accessibility, routing, interfaces with other disciplines, and system integration.
• Work with AutoCAD 2D and Cadmatic.
