This role sits within our Finance function in our Amsterdam office, home to over 300 talented professionals, where cross-functional teams design, develop and scale the products that millions of users rely on every day across our Benelux marketplaces, Marktplaats and 2dehands/2ememain.

You will join our FP&A team, reporting to the Head of FP&A and partnering with business leaders, the business analytics team, the CFO and Controlling team to plan, track and steer the financial performance of our Benelux marketplaces. We turn numbers into clear, decision-ready stories that help the business move with pace and focus.

What You Will Do

• Own the financial performance of the BNL business, from building models and scenarios that link operational KPIs to financial results, to consolidating the Senior FP&A Analysts' outputs into one consistent narrative for operational, Group and Board use.


• Analyse performance vs plan and run deep-dives, turning findings into action-oriented insights, risks and opportunities.


• Partner with business stakeholders as their primary finance contact, challenging and guiding decisions, driving accountability and prioritising their requests.


• Lead long-term planning, budgeting and forecasting, keeping assumptions consistent with the Head of FP&A and flagging gaps and risks based on run rates and market trends.


• Simplify FP&A processes by improving templates, tools and workflows to cut manual work, and embed data tools, AI and automation.


• Run the FP&A calendar (monthly reporting, forecasts, budget, long-term planning) in line with Group and Controlling timelines, delivering on time and at high quality across all revenue and cost streams.

The challenge: Creating one version of the truth across FP&A and the wider organisation, with consistent definitions, KPIs and reporting, while scaling our impact as a lean team by reducing manual work and keeping planning and forecasting robust as the business evolves.

Who You Are

• 10+ years of professional experience in FP&A, corporate finance or Big Four accounting firms


• Strong commercial and analytical skills, with experience owning financial performance for a business area and building financial models and scenario analyses.


• Proven experience running planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles, ideally in a digital, marketplace or subscription/advertising business.


• Strong storyteller who turns complex analysis into clear, decision-ready messages for senior stakeholders, including CFO and Board level.


• Detail-oriented with a high bar for quality, consistency and structure, and able to review and challenge others' work constructively.


• Confident stakeholder partner who prioritises competing requests and collaborates across FP&A, Controlling, Finance Ops and the business.


• Hands-on use of AI to improve finance processes, is a plus
