Job summary

Booking.com in Amsterdam is offering an Accounting Intern opportunity to learn financial reporting, corporate tax, and forecasting while supporting daily operations across Finance teams. You will develop analytical skills, contribute to process improvements, and gain exposure to AI-enabled tooling in a fast-paced, multinational setting.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Dutch university for the full duration, able to attend an in-person final interview day, and available for a 6-month paid

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheet, PowerPoint/Google Slide.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A critical mindset and a strong desire to aid in data-driven decision making.
• Affinity with technology, especially AI and BI tools are preferred.
• Proactive attitude; team player who can work independently.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional, multicultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with day-to-day financial reporting and accounting operations, including analyzing journal entries and balance sheet reviews.
• Supporting the month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Collaborating with Corporate accounting, Tax accounting, Financial reporting, FP&A, and Business Controlling to analyze data and provide insights.
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis and contributing to projects related to reconciliations, efficiency improvements, and reporting enhancements.
• Participating in accounting transformation projects such as process improvements and automation.
