Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data architectures across investment-related domains. The role focuses on building robust data pipelines, governance, and actionable dashboards for decision-makers.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, ensure data quality, and continuously evolve the data environment to meet organisational needs, with hybrid work from Amsterdam and some remote days.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Data Engineer, you will:

• Assess existing data practices, systems and workflows and translate findings into a practical data roadmap.
• Design and build scalable data architecture across investment, portfolio, market and stakeholder data.
• Define data models, taxonomies and standards across core data domains.
• Build integrations between business-critical platforms and improve the reliability of data flows.

Your Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial Data Engineering experience, particularly designing and building data architectures rather than solely maintaining existing environments.
• Strong coding skills and the ability to build integrations and automated data workflows.
• Experience establishing data standards, data models and data quality processes.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence and dashboarding tools.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and solve complex data challenges.
• Experience with investment, financial services, venture capital or private equity data would be beneficial but is not essential.

• Salary up to €80,000.
• Hybrid working from Amsterdam, with remote working available 1 to 2 days per week.
