Job summary

Salesforce seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer focused on Agentforce Operations to design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions inside customer environments. You will join an agile pod, writing production code and constructing real-time grounding systems with humans in the loop.

You will configure multi-agent workflows, implement MCP-based communication, and connect AFO/Agentforce to Salesforce Data Cloud and ERP systems using MuleSoft or custom middleware.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with at least one production AI/enterprise integration system deployed.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on AI grounding expertise: building RAG pipelines and vector stores for enterprise data.
• Experience with API design (REST/SOAP/webhooks) and agent protocols (MCP, tool calling).
• Experience with MuleSoft or similar middleware bridging AI agents with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Ability to whiteboard architecture with senior leaders while writing production code.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and optimize complex multi-agent workflows and orchestration.
• Implement agent communication standards and the MCP protocol for context sharing.
• Architect real-time grounding systems using RAG, vector stores, and knowledge bases.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integration pipelines to connect enterprise systems and data clouds.
• Leverage AI tools to move from architecture sketches to deployable code quickly.
• Create telemetry dashboards to monitor health, triggers, and outcomes.
• Bridge frontline deployments with product and engineering to close gaps.
