Job summary

Zerova Technologies in Amsterdam/Amstelveen region is seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to support the development and customization of EV charging systems for European and UK markets. The role is strictly on-site at our Amstelveen office.

You will collaborate on design, test, and interoperability efforts, advise customers, and contribute to R&D for charging efficiency and standards adaptation. Candidates should have a B.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (MS preferred).
• 3–5 years of EVSE-related work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to commute daily to Amstelveen; on-site role.

Responsibilities

• Stay updated on R&D developments in EV charging tech.
• Analyze compliance with local EV charging standards.
• Provide on-site technical support for system software/firmware customization.
• Assist clients with problem analysis and resolution of EV chargers.
• Engage with clients on system software/firmware requirements.
• Support testing and interoperability efforts.

Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to provide technical support for system customization, resolve technical issues, engage in customer discussions, support testing efforts,design and contribute to the development of European and UK standard charging station systems.

Responsibilities:

• Stay updated on local R&D technology and development in the electric vehicle charging industry.
• Analyze and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards relevant to EV charging systems.
• Provide technical support for European and UK clients for systemsoftware/firmwarecustomization and modification, including overseeing local design replacements.
• Assist local customers onsite with problem analysis and resolution, addressing technical issues related to EV chargers and systems.
• Engage in technical discussions with clients regarding their systemsoftware/firmwa re needs and requirements.
• Support local functional and interoperability testing efforts to ensure seamless integration of EV charging solutions.
• Contribute to the research and development of system control modules to enhance charging efficiency and functionality.
• Participate in wireless charging system research and development initiatives, exploring innovative charging technologies.
• Collaborate on the future development of European and UK standard charging station systems, aligning with industry trends and advancements in EV charging technology.
• Domesticand internationaltravel required.
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Willingness to commute daily to our office in Amstelveen- this is a fully on-site role.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another comparable field. MSDegreepreferred.
• 3-5years of related work experiencein EVSE.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail, the ability toprioritizechanging situations.
• Strong interpersonal,written,and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
• Able to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
• Ability to communicate accurately and comfortably with all levels of management.
• Motivated self-starter thatcanproductively work alone and in groups to solve problems.
