A leading men's clothing brand in Amsterdam is seeking a Financial Accountant / Controller to shape finance processes, manage accounting, ERP implementation, and ensure tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have a finance degree and 3+ years of experience in a similar role. What you'll do

• Put finance in the driver’s seat by helping build a central and forward-looking role for the finance team at MR MARVIS
• Support the implementation of our new ERP system (ODOO) together with tech and operations
• Coordinate the year-end audit, including preparation of the audit file and liaising with auditors
• Prepare the annual financial statements in accordance with Dutch GAAP
• Gather data for and review various tax filings (VAT, corporate income tax, Intrastat) before they’re submitted by our external tax advisors
• Draft accounting position papers for complex or new transactions
• Help set up and maintain intercompany pricing structures in line with transfer pricing principles and compliance standards.
• Support and coach the junior financial controller and (junior) accounting associate in day-to-day tasks and development
• Dive into our production data to identify cost overruns and turn your findings into actionable steps to ensure accurate and timely cost registration.
• Support the Head of Finance with accounting-related topics, including the preparation of monthly closings and internal controls
• Support the Finance team with ad-hoc analysis—such as cost breakdowns and business case input.

What you'll bring

• You have a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (RA or similar is a plus)
• You bring 3+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or audit
• You understand Dutch GAAP and tax compliance requirements
• You’re detail-oriented, hands-on, and not afraid to challenge the status quo
• Experience with ERP implementations is a big plus – or you're excited to learn
• Most importantly: you’re a team player with a positive mindset and a love for structure
